Rangra Wasi

Nestled in the heart of the Utcubamba Valley, in the district of Leymebamba, Amazonas — in northern Peru — our Eco Lodge offers a private, exclusive, and nature-friendly accommodation experience. We are located just 5 minutes from the Museo de Leymebamba, home to more than 200 mummies from the Chachapoyas culture, and only 50 minutes from the impressive Kuélap, one of the most important pre-Inca fortresses in South America. We are an excellent choice within the growing trend of sustainable tourism, offering an eco-friendly concept that combines comfort, privacy, and an authentic connection with nature.

Location

Leymebamba is located about 10 minutes from the town of Leymebamba, in the small village of San Miguel, at approximately 2,400 meters above sea level. Nestled on a mountainside along the route leading to the department of Cajamarca, the lodge is surrounded by a rescued and reforested cloud forest carefully preserved by its owners. Leymebamba is one of the twenty-one districts of the Province of Chachapoyas, located in the Amazonas region of northern Peru. Most of its towns and rural communities are settled in the mountains, while others are located near the Utcubamba River. The Amazonas region is a vibrant mosaic of cities, villages, rivers, canyons, lakes, mountain ranges, valleys, and lush green mountains with diverse climates and microclimates. Its extraordinary flora and fauna captivate travelers and all those fortunate enough to discover these blessed lands and experience their natural beauty. From Rangra Wasi, guests can visit iconic attractions such as the Kuélap Fortress, the Revash Mausoleums, the Laguna de los Cóndores, and the Museo de Leymebamba, as well as the Yerbabuena Fair and many other archaeological sites and birdwatching spots throughout the region.
