Location

Rangra Wasi is located 10 minutes away from the town of Leymebamba, in the San Miguel annex, at about 2,400 meters above sea level. Nestled in a mountain and on the route towards the department of Cajamarca, Rangra Wasi is immersed in a forest that was rescued and reforested by its owners.

Leymebamba is one of the twenty-one districts of the Province of Chachapoyas, located in the department of Amazonas, in northern Peru.

Most of the towns and villages are located in the mountains, although there are some near the Utcubamba River.

The Amazon Region is a vivid watercolor of cities, towns, hamlets, rivers, pongos, lakes, lagoons, mountain ranges, valleys and lush mountains with varied climates and microclimates. Exuberant flora and fauna captivates the tourist and those who are lucky enough to know these blessed lands as to enjoy their natural charm.

From Rangra Wasi’s strategic location, you can visit the Citadel of Kuelap, the Revash Mausoleums, the Laguna de los Condores, the Leymebamba Mummy Museum, the Yerbabuena Fair, and many other archaeological remains and birdwatching spots.
